About the role:

Join the Marketing Operations team and help Samsara expand its system and intelligence capabilities. This vital role on Samsara's Marketing Operations team is responsible for a portion of our MarTech portfolio management, administration of core solutions, building AI-forward systems, and evolving our processes to automate at scale. As we continue to grow and diversify our go-to-market strategy, this role will ensure Samsara Marketing team is setup with:

  • A leading edge technology stack to provide a delightful experience to internal and external customers.
  • An AI-forward system model unlocking new capabilities for efficient and automated programs at scale.
  • An Ops partner who enjoys collaborating across Marketing teams to streamline and optimize processes.

This is a remote position open to candidates residing in Canada. Relocation assistance will not be provided for this role.

In this role, you will:

  • Utilize expertise in MarTech system architecture, including administration, configuration, and integration management of enterprise-level platforms (e.g., Salesforce, MAP, CDP, CMS, DAM).
  • Apply hands-on experience integrating, deploying, or utilizing AI/ML models within a live marketing environment to solve business problems.
  • Conduct deep technical assessments of new and emerging AI-powered MarTech solutions, leading Proofs of Concept (POCs), build v. buy analysis and providing technical recommendation for adoption.
  • Design and generate no-code or low-code applications to bridge system gaps, enhance functionality, and improve operational efficiency.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts and architectural designs to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Partner closely with marketers, finance, IT, procurement, rev ops, and cross-functional teams to enable efficient delivery of Marketing technology priorities in support pipeline targets.
  • Stay connected to MarTech news, best practices, and industry updates ensuring Samsara evaluates and adopts technology that meets our needs and presents a unique advantage.

Minimum requirements for the role:

  • 5+ years of experience in Marketing Operations or similar (e.g. GTM engineer).
  • Strong internal communication with proven ability to work cross-functionally with stakeholders, including Marketing, Finance, IT, and other cross-functional leaders.
  • Experience managing the software procurement processes from initial problem scoping through vendor evaluation, selection, implementation, and ongoing management phases.
  • Experience developing custom solutions or integrations across 3rd party tech to unlock a new capability or dramatically improve a process.
  • Strong technical orientation - excited about developing system architecture and working closely with technical partners internally and on vendor teams.
  • Strong business acumen, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor's degree or Technical degree (or relevant work experience).

An ideal candidate also has:

  • Experience with the following technologies: Salesforce, Marketo, Iterable, Contentful, Zoom, Webflow, Databricks, Tableau, 6sense, ReachDesk.
  • Experience working closely with Engineering teams building & maintaining custom infrastructure.
  • Proficiency in coding languages (e.g., Python, SQL, API integration, HTML, CSS, or JavaScript).
