About B&G
Blowers & Grafton (B&G) dishes up authentic street food, delivering real, honest ingredients and laid-back, East Coast hospitality. B&G sources as much of its menu from out East as possible to bring you tasteful tributes, genuine flavors and all the classics From the OG Halifax Donair and Garlic Fingers, to the Mini Lobster Rolls and Chips, it's all washed down with your choice of craft beer or cocktails.
B&G was founded by a group of passionate Canadians with a bold vision: to salute the spirited roots of Halifax with fellow Maritimers and share this beloved experience of food, drink, music and culture with the rest of Canada.
Sous Chef Responsibilities:
- Manage the daily operation of the kitchen under the direction and absence of the Chef
- Maintain a guest focus while providing East Coast Hospitality
- Assume 100% responsibility of the quality of food and the dishes being prepared (100% responsibility / 0 excuses)
- Assist the Chef in hiring, development and coaching of new team members
- Maintain personnel files, on-board & train new employees about our company policies, food safety standards & kitchen procedures
- Responsible for placing all food orders in accordance with pars set by Kitchen Manager
- Communicate with FOH & prep team to ensure all essential items are ordered and delivered on time
- Build a schedule for BOH team while maintaining labor targets and goals
- Monitor all checklists and quality assurance documents and ensure their daily completion and adherence
