Recycling Worx Inc. is looking for a qualified Class 1 Driver with experience in and around Calgary and surrounding communities, with the ability to haul dry van trailers and walking floor trailers.

Job Description:

Reporting back to a head dispatcher, applicants must be able to work with a tandem and/or a tridem tractor with a 53' walking floor or 53' dry van trailer hauling waste residual, pallets, chips, sawdust and other bulk commodities.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and problem solve
  • ability and willing to learn different trucks and trailers

Responsibilities:

  • Complete a daily electronic truck log
  • Pre and post trip inspections.
  • Observe and report equipment or mechanical failures immediately
  • Comply with all DOT, and all in-house Safety Procedures and practices
  • Back into tight loading and unloading lots.
  • Properly complete and hand in paperwork daily
  • Fill out E-logs via App accurately and meticulously
  • Communicate with dispatch and clients on site professionally

Qualifications (Must Haves)

  • Class 1 driver's license in good standing
  • No serious tickets or accidents in last 5 years
  • No DWI/DUI in last 10 years
  • Ability to complete electronic logs and trucking apps by smart phone
  • Adequate experience in Tractors and hauling trailers
  • 2+ Years hauling 53' walking floor or dry van trailers
  • experience hauling B-Train Trailers considered an asset
  • physically fit and a hard worker
  • excellent attention to detail
  • Mountain driving considered an asset
  • Landfill driving considered an asset
