Southwestern Manufacturing Inc. operates in a competitive global market producing wide ranging metal based assemblies and components across a variety of industry sectors including but not limited to Mining, Oil & Gas, Crane and Drag-line Components, Agricultural, Machine building, and Heavy Equipment Manufacturing.

Increased over the years, our extensive plant capacity developed to cater for our multi million pound turnover, is spread across three facilities manned by over 150 employees. It incorporates shot blasting, stress relieving, fitting, welding, machining, non-destructive testing, final paint, right on through to our own logistics network, resulting in high value finished items across many diverse sectors delivered right to the customer's door.

Southwestern Manufacturing Inc. is seeking 1**permanent full-time* (minimum of hours per week) experienced *Material Handler for day shift.

Southwestern Manufacturing typically operates on rotating shifts of days and afternoons.

Job Description

· Ability to grind welds to instructions provided

· To assist senior staff in there day to day duties

· Basic tools will be supplied

· Must be able to work in a team atmosphere.

· Comfortable in a manufacturing environment

· Forklift and overhead crane experience is required

· Able to follow work instructions and manufacturing specifications

· Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods

· Loading and delivering materials

· Use a variety of tools and machines such as blowtorches, forklifts, lifts, power drills, grinders and saws.

· Maintain a clean work environment and safe handling of material.

Requirements

· Must have physical strength

· Hand-eye coordination

· Endurance

· Must also be able to concentrate on their tasks.
