**Dimachem Inc. is an established chemical blending and packaging company based in Windsor, Ontario. We are looking to hire a Material Handler/Forklift Operator to join our team.** **About The Role**: This key position within our manufacturing facility will be responsible for operating a forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack and inventory raw material and finished product. The operator will be accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the vehicle and will be responsible to ensure the working order of the forklift at all times. In addition, this position will assist with general labour duties as assigned by the supervisor. You are a detail oriented individual who can multitask in a fast paced environment. You understand the impact of this position to other business functions that depend on the accuracy and efficiency of outgoing and incoming items. You are a proven team player who is both flexible and highly adaptable and a strong collaborator that works well individually, as well as in a team environment. **Responsibilities**: - Working closely with the production team this individual will be responsible for picking, palletizing and loading orders as per incoming sales demand. - Manages the shipment and receipt of all products, materials, and supplies. - Collaborates and communicates with logistics coordinators, customer service representatives, service providers, and others involved in the shipment and receipt of products. - Promptly unloads trucks and deliveries and sorts and stocks receivables. - Maintains an accurate log sheet of daily moves, scanning inventory, and counting accurately. - Engages with vendors and drivers with a positive attitude. - Provides additional backup support for shipping and receiving departments. - Participate in clean-up and maintenance, as required. - Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times. - Follow direction set by the Manager or Supervisor. - Occasionally lifting of product to and from pallets weighing
