About the Position:

We are looking for a Reimbursement Specialist to join our Rx Connect Specialty Pharmacy team in Mississauga. We are looking for a candidate who is reliable and organized, with excellent communication skills and capable of providing exceptional customer service. Preference will be given candidates who are proficient with Kroll Pharmacy Management Software and experienced in troubleshooting adjudication issues with public and private payers.

Reporting to our Reimbursement Team Lead, the Reimbursement Specialist will be primarily responsible for assisting our patients navigate insurance challenges and available provincial/federal programs to make their medications more affordable. Duties and Responsibilities:

· Communicate with patients, prescribers, healthcare professionals and other key player to support patients through their treatment journey

· Gather and document information from patients/caregivers/prescribers in a concise, organized and professional manner

· Complete, submit and follow-up on requisite paperwork in a timely manner

· Liase with private and public insurance providers to determine coverage options

· Act as a central liaison for stakeholders such as physicians, nurses, patients and clinics and provide required updates

· Maintain confidentiality of patient healthcare information

Job Requirements:

• Excellent customer services skills
• Experience working with Patient Support Programs (Asset)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills- English & French (asset)
• Reimbursement experience (asset)
• Understanding of provincial and private drug coverage criteria
• Familiarity with the Special Authorization process for both public and private insurance in assigned territory.
• Strong Computer and Technical skills: Excel, Word, Outlook, tablets, web-portals/internet use
• Experience with the Kroll Pharmacy Management System is an asset
• Making decisions using sound judgment, and meeting deadlines.
• Accurate data collection and data integrity
• Ease with working in a paperless environment.
• Ability to drive for results
• Proven ability to work in a team environment
• Strong sense of organization and attention to detail
• Time management skills and the ability to multi-task and adhere to deadlines

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $45,000.00 per year
