One of our Construction Industry clients based out in Waterloo, ON is looking for a "Maintenance Technician (Electrician OR Millwright)" for a fulltime opportunity.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced
Construction Millwright
to manage the full lifecycle of equipment installation—from layout and precision alignment to commissioning. This role requires technical mastery, exceptional attention to safety, and a reliable, proactive approach to work across various project sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Precision Installation:
    Receive, layout, and install mechanical equipment and machinery according to strict drawings and specifications, performing specialized tasks such as
    alignment, vibration checks, and precision installations
    .
  • System Commissioning:
    Install and commission specialized industrial systems, including material handling and process equipment, bearings, seals, valves, piping, and pneumatic/hydraulic systems.
  • Technical Troubleshooting:
    Expertly read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and diagrams to detect and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, repairing or replacing defective parts as required.
  • Rigging & Operation:
    Safely operate a variety of equipment, including hand and power tools, forklifts, booms, and specialized
    rigging/crane equipment
    .
  • Safety & Compliance:
    Work strictly in compliance with all
    Health and Safety
    policies and procedures, ensuring a clean and organized job site.

Qualifications & Experience Highlights

  • Certification:
    Industrial Millwright (433A) Trade Certification
    is mandatory (
    Red Seal preferred
    ).
  • Experience:
    5+ years of hands-on experience
    in construction or industrial millwrighting (ICI projects are a strong asset).
  • Advanced Welding:
    Proven
    welding proficiency
    across multiple techniques (OAW, FCAW, GTAW, GMAW, TIG, and SMAW).
  • Certifications:
    Must be able to pass necessary
    CWB 47.1 and TSSA
    welding qualifications.
  • Mobility:
    Valid driver's license and willingness to
    travel to various project sites across Ontario
    . Experience with water/wastewater treatment facilities is a strong asset.
