Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating commercial vehicles to transport freight and goods across various routes. This role requires a strong focus on safety, timely deliveries, and maintaining the integrity of cargo. Candidates with skills in forklift operation, heavy equipment handling, and automotive repair are highly valued to ensure smooth logistics operations and vehicle maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate trucks to transport freight and materials to designated locations according to schedule.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations.
  • Load and unload freight, ensuring proper handling of cargo.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, and vehicle maintenance records.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and clients regarding delivery schedules or issues.
  • Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting when necessary to keep vehicles in optimal condition.
  • Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during operations.
  • Assist with warehouse duties or other operational tasks as required.

Qualifications

  • Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
  • Experience in commercial driving, freight transportation, or related fields preferred.
  • Skills in forklift operation and heavy equipment handling are advantageous.
  • Basic automotive repair knowledge is a plus for vehicle troubleshooting and maintenance.
  • Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to safety standards.
  • Physical ability to load/unload freight, lift heavy objects, and perform vehicle inspections as needed.
