The Truck Driver will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining the integrity of the freight.

Responsibilities

  • Operate trucks to transport freight to designated locations in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
  • Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of freight during transit.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of driving hours and vehicle maintenance.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route changes, delays, or issues encountered during transport.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road.
  • Perform basic automotive repair and maintenance as needed to ensure vehicle readiness.
  • Operate forklifts and other heavy equipment as required for loading and unloading tasks.

Requirements

  • Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is required.
  • Proven experience in commercial driving with a strong understanding of freight transportation.
  • Familiarity with heavy equipment operation is preferred.
  • Ability to operate forklifts safely and efficiently is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
  • A commitment to safety standards and practices in all aspects of driving and handling freight.
