We are seeking a reliable and experienced Owner Operator Driver to join our transportation team. This position is perfect for self-motivated individuals who value independence and professional growth within the logistics industry.
Duties
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport freight to various destinations, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Load and unload freight, ensuring proper handling and securement of cargo
- Conduct routine inspections and basic maintenance on your vehicle, including automotive repairs when necessary, to ensure optimal operation
- Manage documentation related to deliveries, including manifests, delivery receipts, and logs
- Coordinate with dispatch for scheduling, route planning, and delivery updates
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of your vehicle to meet safety standards
- Assist in troubleshooting mechanical issues or operational problems with heavy equipment or vehicles when required
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid CDL license preferred
- Familiarity with forklift operation and freight handling procedures
- Knowledge of heavy equipment operation and basic automotive repair techniques
- Strong understanding of safety protocols related to freight transportation and heavy equipment use
- Excellent organizational skills for managing delivery schedules and documentation
- Ability to operate large vehicles confidently and responsibly under various conditions
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while maintaining high safety standards
