Overview

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Owner Operator Driver to join our transportation team. This role offers the opportunity to operate your own vehicle while delivering freight efficiently and safely. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, familiarity with heavy equipment, and a solid understanding of freight handling and automotive maintenance. Duties

  • Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport freight to various destinations, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
  • Load and unload freight, ensuring proper handling and securement of cargo
  • Conduct routine inspections and basic maintenance on your vehicle, including automotive repairs when necessary, to ensure optimal operation
  • Manage documentation related to deliveries, including manifests, delivery receipts, and logs
  • Coordinate with dispatch for scheduling, route planning, and delivery updates
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of your vehicle to meet safety standards
  • Assist in troubleshooting mechanical issues or operational problems with heavy equipment or vehicles when required

Skills

  • Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid CDL license preferred
  • Familiarity with forklift operation and freight handling procedures
  • Knowledge of heavy equipment operation and basic automotive repair techniques
  • Strong understanding of safety protocols related to freight transportation and heavy equipment use
  • Excellent organizational skills for managing delivery schedules and documentation
  • Ability to operate large vehicles confidently and responsibly under various conditions
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while maintaining high safety standards
