McMillan LLP, one of Canada's leading business law firms, is currently seeking an associate to join its market-leading and highly active International Trade Law Group in any of its offices - Vancouver, Calgary, Ottawa, Toronto or Montréal.

Our International Trade Law Group advises a range of companies from large multinational organizations to small and growing companies, located in Canada and around the world.

The successful applicant will work on a full range of private practice international trade issues, including compliance with Canadian trade laws on import / export controls, customs and economic sanctions, and the largest component of the practice – which is anti-dumping / countervailing trade remedy cases before the Canadian International Trade Tribunal and the Canada Border Services Agency.

Applicants must have at least 3-4 years of relevant post-call experience, with strong professional and academic credentials. Experience in international trade litigation is highly desired. Excellent interpersonal, communication and writing skills, the ability to juggle multiple demands and to handle matters independently are essential. Proficiency in Excel and analyzing financial and economic data would be a significant asset.
