The Team Lead – Ventilation is a strategic role responsible for driving profitable growth within the ventilation new construction segment. This individual serves as the primary decision-maker for project qualification, pricing strategy, and quote prioritization, ensuring the estimating team focuses on the right opportunities and executes with speed, accuracy, and competitiveness.

This role will have an emphasis on market strategy, analytical judgment, and leadership through influence, aligning estimating resources with regional sales objectives and evolving market conditions.

What you will accomplish with us:

  • Lead the ventilation business to reach optimum performance with inbound and outbound selling.
  • Serve as the gatekeeper for ventilation new construction projects submitted by contractors through main project email inbox.
  • Evaluate bid opportunities based on:

o Project size, scope, and complexity.

o Contractor relationships and buying behavior.

o Margin potential and competitive landscape.

o Strategic alignment with regional growth objectives.

  • Decide whether projects are quoted, declined, or strategically limited to maximize return on estimating resources.
  • Deliver consistent revenue performance and growth and will need to opportunistically look at the market for breakout revenue opportunities.
  • Participate in sales calls, jobsite meetings, and contractor visits to:

o Strengthen relationships with key ventilation customers.

o Gain firsthand insight into customer needs, bidding strategies, and project pipelines.

o Support outside sales teams on complex or high-value ventilation opportunities.

o Serve as a technical and strategic resource with contractors and engineers, providing guidance on system selection, value engineering, and bid strategy.

o Gather competitive and market intelligence from the field and translate insights into improved pricing, quoting, and project selection decisions.

  • Lead by example and create an environment within the team that rewards and recognizes the demonstration of core Master values in day-to-day operation of the business.
  • Prepare and deliver accurate ventilation quotes directly when:

o Estimating staff is unavailable.

o Quote volume exceeds available capacity.

o Projects require senior-level oversight or urgency.

  • Ensure effective regional commercial relations with suppliers.
  • Coordination with Product Managers, Inside sales team & technical support department.

What You Bring to Our Team:

  • University degree in business or equivalent in business experience.
  • 5 to 7 year's experience team environment (HVAC-R field an asset).
  • Solid judgement and decision-making skills.
  • Creative thinker, both strategic and tactical.
  • Demonstrate strong people leadership competencies including promoting teamwork and open communication, effective problem solving and conflict management.
  • Motivates and inspires others.
  • Raise and addresses ethical concerns or issues when appropriate.
  • Strong planning & execution background.
  • Good sales abilities and persuasiveness (towards clients & sales reps).
  • Knowledge of MS Office programs.
