SC Education operates leading Western Canadian private colleges with multiple locations delivering diploma programs in both on-campus and online modalities in the business, health, hospitality, legal and technology fields.

The Opportunity

SC Education is currently seeking to fill the permanent role of an Admissions Advisor – Team Captain. This role is works at our modern office located in Calgary, Alberta. A professional sales and skills development training program is provided to successful applicants.

Key Responsibilities

The Team Captain will spend 25% as Captain and 75% as an Admissions Advisor:

  • Daily review, completion and follow-up on the student enrollment process
  • Ensure weekend coverage for staff within the company guidelines
  • Respond to Advisors questions and provide daily feedback to Directors
  • Ensure staff time off is reported and process is properly followed
  • Ensure accuracy of Enrollment packages
  • Recruit qualified candidates for college programs in a compliant and professional manner
  • Respond to student inquiries from potential candidates,
  • Contact warm leads supplied by the college in a timely manner;
  • Provide program information, guidance, and assistance to students
  • Attend occasional community events and trade shows
  • Updating and maintaining the company CRM / recruiting software

Qualifications and Experience

  • Post-secondary degree (preferred)
  • Sales experience: Minimum of 3 years B2B or B2C selling experience
  • Experience leading a team of 10 or more staff an asset
  • Telemarketing experience would be an asset
  • Individuals with sales skills training and professional selling are an asset
  • Ambitious and goal-oriented with a strong drive to succeed
  • Exceptional phone etiquette and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well independently and as a positive supportive team member
  • Desire to engage and contribute to a fun, fast-paced, supportive environment

Wages and Benefits

  • Base Salary of $50k annually plus an industry leading commission plan and bonus plan. Target remuneration range achieved by most admissions captains is $55,000 – $80,000
