As a key member of the Health, Safety, and Wellness team, the individual will play a strategic role in promoting psychological health within the organization, working in sensitive contexts with rigor, discernment, and expertise. Key Responsibilities: Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Workplace Mental Health Program, ensuring alignment with best practices.Provide personalized support to employees, including case management, individualized care plans, and referrals to appropriate resources.Serve as the primary resource and coach for peer supporters in mental health, ensuring their ongoing support and training.Collaborate closely with internal services (accommodations, return-to-work, employee relations, wellness) to support employees effectively.Facilitate conflict resolution related to harassment, violence, or mental health issues by moderating discussions and coaching involved parties.Design and deliver mental health training sessions; ensure policies are aligned with the Canadian federal public service Psychological Health Directive and the CSA Z1003 standard.Work environmentThe PPS is a separate and distinct organization not subject to the Public Service Employment Act. It has its own classification, compensation system, and staffing regime. Persons appointed to PPS continue to be part of the federal government and will receive the public service pension plan and public service insurance benefits plan. The educational program must be from an accredited learning institution recognized in Canada.
