Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Salon Manager to oversee daily operations of our salon. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, exceptional customer service abilities, and a comprehensive understanding of retail and salon management. This role involves managing staff, ensuring excellent client experiences, and driving business growth through effective marketing and sales strategies. Bilingual or multilingual skills are highly valued to better serve our diverse clientele.

Duties

  • Lead and supervise salon staff, including hairstylists, estheticians, and support personnel, ensuring high standards of service and professionalism
  • Manage scheduling, payroll processing, and employee training & development to foster a motivated team
  • Oversee retail sales, merchandising, pricing strategies, and inventory purchasing to maximize profitability
  • Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints, and ensure exceptional customer service using effective communication skills
  • Maintain store operations including cashiering, POS transactions, cash handling, and bookkeeping with accuracy
  • Develop and implement marketing initiatives to attract new clients and retain existing ones
  • Monitor sales performance and develop strategies to meet or exceed sales targets
  • Conduct interviews for hiring new team members and participate in recruiting efforts
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the salon environment
  • Organize promotional events and manage store presentation to enhance brand visibility

Requirements

  • Proven supervisory or retail management experience within a salon or similar environment
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team and manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are preferred
  • Proficiency in negotiation, merchandising, POS systems, purchasing, and cash handling
  • Experience in sales management, marketing, budgeting, and store management practices
  • Skilled in training & development, organizational skills, time management, and administrative tasks such as bookkeeping
  • Customer service-oriented with a professional phone etiquette approach
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
  • Knowledge of retail sales techniques including pricing strategies and promotional planning
