Summary

We are looking for a Senior Landscape Designer to join our team The Senior Landscape Designer will lead high-impact projects and guide our design team with creativity and expertise. This role combines design leadership, client relationship management, and business development, with a focus on innovation and process improvement. You'll collaborate with clients, mentor junior staff, and play a key role in shaping our design direction and team growth.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage landscape design projects from conceptual design through to construction and project completion, ensuring high standards of quality and attention to detail.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as the primary point of contact for design-related inquiries, ensuring client satisfaction, and fostering long-term relationships
• Take a proactive role in business development, identifying new opportunities, networking with potential and previous clients, and contributing to the growth of the company
• Lead and mentor junior designers, providing guidance on design strategies, project workflows and professional development
• Conduct project take-offs, estimating material quantities, labour, and costs to develop accurate project proposals and cost estimates
• Facilitate client meetings to ensure alignment between client expectations and design vision
• Continuously improve internal design processes, identifying opportunities for efficiency, and implementing best practices to enhance the team's productivity
• Collaborate with project managers, and external stakeholders to ensure successful project execution and timely delivery
• Stay up to date with industry trends, sustainable design practices, and local regulations to ensure all designs adhere to the latest standards
• Other duties as required

Requirements

• Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in landscape design, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
• Proven experience in leading and managing design teams, providing guidance, mentorship, and ensuring project success.
• Strong proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Revit considered an asset
• Experience in business development, including client relationship management, networking, and contributing to company growth.
• Demonstrated ability to develop innovative, sustainable, and functional landscape designs across various project types.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage with clients, contractors, and team members.
• Strong project management skills, including experience in project take-offs, budgeting, and estimating costs.
• Knowledge of local landscape design regulations, sustainability guidelines, and industry best practices.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
