Our client is looking to augment their current Salesforce Development team with a contract Salesforce Developer. The ideal candidate will work with cross-functional teams to design, develop and optimize Salesforce applications that enhance business processes and customer experiences. The Salesforce Developer will also be responsible for the regular release of new code in SFDC.  This is a 6 month remote contract opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement scalable and secure Salesforce solutions based on business requirements.
  • Develop and customize Salesforce applications using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Visualforce, and Flows.
  • Integrate Salesforce with external applications using REST/SOAP APIs.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve bugs, performance issues, and integration challenges.
  • Candidate must be able to follow best practices, security standards, conduct code reviews, and assist with regulatory submissions, in a highly regulated industry.
  • Utilize and extend Salesforce declarative functionalities, including but not limited to Salesforce Flows and OMS.
  • Optimize existing Salesforce workflows, validation rules, and automation to improve system efficiency.
  • Collaborate with other developers, product managers, and stakeholders to understand requirements and provide technical solutions.
  • Manage regular SFDC releases and hotfixes and ensure smooth deployment of code by leveraging CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps processes through tools like Bitbucket.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of code and processes.
  • Stay updated with the latest Salesforce developments and integrate new features as required.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Salesforce Developer with a strong portfolio of projects.
  • Expertise in Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning Component Framework.
  • Deep understanding of Salesforce Flows and other declarative solutions.
  • Experience working with Salesforce APIs, external integrations, and automation tools.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce security, sharing rules, and role-based access models.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce DX, version control, and CI/CD practices.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Salesforce Platform Developer I and Admin certifications.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce OMS preferred.
  • Proficiency in web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
  • Knowledge of Agile development methodologies.
