The Long Shot Pub is located at the Christina Lake Motel and RV Park. The motel is a family-owned resort located in the heart of British Columbia. With a commitment to maintaining a down-to-earth, authentic atmosphere, we provide our guests with a unique camping experience across our 9-acre property, which includes a modern motel, RV park, rustic tenting area, and various public events.

Summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic Bartender/Server to join our team at The Long Shot Pub. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests while preparing and serving beverages in a friendly and welcoming environment. Your contributions will help us maintain our community-driven spirit and enhance the guest experience. This position is part time leading to full time in Spring-Fall.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.
  • This position may be bartender with server section or may just be server with not bar work.
  • Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests and ensuring their satisfaction.
  • Manage the bar area efficiently, including inventory control and cleanliness.
  • Handle cash transactions accurately using the POS system.
  • Assist in organizing events and activities at the resort as needed.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service of food and drinks.
  • Possible supply list maintenance, liquor ordering sheets.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a bartender or in a similar hospitality role is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of drink recipes and mixology techniques.
  • Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor.
  • Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly.
  • Basic math skills for managing tabs and processing payments.
  • A passion for providing outstanding customer service in a community-focused environment.
  • Serving It Right certificate
  • Must be over 19 years of age
  • TouchBistro experience an asset
  • Must be available for evenings and weekends. Some day shifts may be available as well.
