Job Overview
We are seeking a professional and organized Dental Receptionist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, managing appointments, patient records, and administrative tasks with efficiency and a friendly demeanor. This role is vital in ensuring smooth daily operations and providing excellent patient service. Prior experience in dental or medical office environments, along with proficiency in electronic medical records systems, is highly preferred.
Duties
- Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing exceptional front desk service
- Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments using Dentrix or similar software
- Manage multi-line phone systems to answer inquiries and direct calls appropriately
- Verify patient insurance information and update electronic medical records accurately
- Collect payments and process billing using Epic or other billing platforms
- Maintain organized patient records in compliance with privacy regulations
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and correspondence
- Coordinate with dental staff to ensure smooth daily operations and patient flow
- Handle patient check-in and check-out procedures efficiently
Requirements
- Prior experience as a dental receptionist or in a medical office setting highly preferred
- Proficiency with dental practice management software such as Dentrix and Epic
- Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dental care
- Experience working with electronic medical records systems
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to manage multi-line phone systems effectively
- Office experience demonstrating administrative competence
- Familiarity with front desk operations in a healthcare setting is advantageous
