Accounting Manager

Location:
Vancouver, BC

Expected Salary Range:
$85,000 – 90,000 per year

Responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end accounting processes across project-based initiatives and corporate operations
  • Draft monthly and annual financial statements and other related documents
  • Review and issue invoices, enter bills and manage other accounts payable functions
  • Analyze and prepare project cost or billing variance reports
  • Review contracts issued by the Project Manager and compile and monitor all payment compliance required documents
  • Monitor project profitability and cash flow
  • Assist with bank and account reconciliations
  • Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports
  • Process bi-weekly payroll and handle benefits administration for the corporate office team
  • Prepare and submit regulatory tax filings and annual T4 slips
  • Liaise with project teams and provide assistance with review of forecasting, transfer budgets and costs
  • Compile supporting documentation for audit files
  • Recommend strategies to management for optimizing internal processes, systems, and workflows
  • Assist the Principal and project teams with additional projects, as required

Requirements:

  • Degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Accounting, or related field
  • CPA designation is an asset but not required
  • 5+ years of full-cycle accounting or project accounting experience is desirable
  • Experience within the real-estate, construction industry or related fields strongly preferred
  • Highly proficient with MS Office Suite, accounting and payroll systems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple detail-oriented tasks under pressure
  • Ability to complete work with a high degree of accuracy and detail
  • Have a strong capability to work independently and in collaboration with a team
