Calgary Alberta TRL Canada The Evans Hunt Group Full time $110,000 - $130,000 per year

The Senior Product Manager will report to the Head of Customer Experience.

Location

This position will report to our Calgary office, but we are open to being remote across Western Canada.

Job Overview

At Evans Hunt, our mission is to create powerful, positive customer experiences through the combination of strategy, creativity, and technology. As a Senior Product Manager, you will guide our agency team in developing digital products for our clients. You will ensure seamless collaboration between cross-functional teams working closely with clients, UX researchers, UX designers, creatives, and developers to deliver digital experiences loved by users and clients alike.

Who we are looking for

Your professional and academic experience has allowed you to balance business goals with user needs, build strong relationships with clients and internal teams, and be comfortable driving complex projects from vision to execution.

If the person below sounds like you, you should definitely apply.

  • Passionate about product. With 5+ years of experience in product management (ideally in a digital agency or consultancy environment), you champion product best practices, foster continuous learning, and bring a strategic, iterative mindset to your work.
  • You're excited to help grow a discipline. As a senior product manager, you enjoy helping and mentoring less experienced team members on product best practices.
  • You're collaborative. You love leading collaboration with clients, designers, developers, and researchers to share roadmaps and prioritize work.
  • You're data-driven and user-centric. You analyze product metrics and user data to inform decisions, optimize performance, and identify opportunities.
  • You communicate effectively. You translate insights, business needs, and technical requirements into actionable plans and backlogs. You also communicate product direction, progress, and impact to internal teams and clients.
  • You understand the tech. You're fluent in digital platforms, web technologies, and product management tools like Jira. You're comfortable working with APIs and technical teams and understanding integration points and constraints.
  • You're curious about what's next. You stay informed on tools, trends, and emerging use cases in digital product development—and look for smart ways to apply them.
  • Agency experience. Familiarity with client services and digital marketing agencies.
  • AI experience. Familiarity with artificial intelligence concepts and tools, with an ability to understand and identify opportunities to integrate AI into digital products.

A day in the life

That said, there are a few activities that will likely take up most of your time. These may include:

  • Own the product strategy and roadmap for major initiatives, ensuring internal product owner and client vision and goals align with user needs.
  • Drive scoping of features, prioritization, identifying risks, and negotiating trade-offs with competing priorities.
  • Work with the team and clients to define KPIs and success metrics.
  • You plan and run workshops to align teams and stakeholders on goals, scope, and next steps. You help with agile workflows, including backlog grooming, sprint planning, and feature delivery.
  • Work closely with UX designers, developers, creatives, and account and project managers to bring ideas to life and drive measurable results.
  • Work with the team and clients on continuous delivery and product improvement.
  • Mentor and help other team members while contributing to growing the agency's product management practice.
  • Bring forward fresh thinking around product management best practices that create value for the internal team and clients.

What's in it for you

Evans Hunt is a full-service digital agency focused on the integration of strategy, creative, and technology. Our experienced team of 80+ employees delivers fully integrated marketing solutions for top national and international organizations. We're a fun place that does good work. Here's what we're offering:

  • Salary range: $110-130K (depending on experience).
  • Benefits: You'll be on our plan and will get extended health, dental benefits, a health spending account, and GRSP matching
  • Culture and lifestyle: We're an agency, and we work hard, but life is also for living. We strive to provide a respectful and inclusive workplace in which all are welcome. We're also not much for micromanaging–you'll have a lot of flexibility to deliver great work in ways that make sense to you.
  • Office availability: Our Calgary office is an amenity, not a mandate. It's there for you whenever you'd like.
  • Stuff: A laptop and a phone allowance will be provided.

What we'll ask

There are a couple of things we'll ask for as part of the hiring process:

  • Cover letter: Tell us a little about yourself and your fit for the job. (It's true that companies don't look at applications that lack cover letters).
  • Portfolio/case study presentation: If you make it to the interview stage, we'll request that you present your portfolio and/or applicable case studies.

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

Evans Hunt embraces and encourages the differences and characteristics that make our employees unique. The rich perspectives that result from diversity promote innovation and business success and make us more creative, flexible, productive, and competitive. These differences are an important part of not only our culture but our reputation and achievements.
