Maison Prep is growing again and we're looking for experienced, confident home cooks and trained chefs with strong interpersonal skills. You'll cook in clients' homes, prep meals for their week, and leave them feeling taken care of. No commercial kitchen burnout. No chaos. Just solid food and good humans.

What you'll do

  • Cook and meal prep in clients' homes (weekly or recurring)
  • Follow client preferences, dietary needs, and kitchen standards
  • Keep a clean, organized workspace and leave the kitchen better than you found it
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients and the Maison Prep team
  • Deliver a consistent, calm experience that clients want to rebook

This is a subcontractor role

  • You control your schedule and availability
  • We provide the marketing, systems, onboarding, and client agreements
  • We vet clients so you're walking into good homes with realistic expectations
  • You get support, structure, and steady bookings without chasing leads

Requirements (must have)

  • Valid Food Handler Safety Certificate
  • Police background check (current or willing to obtain)
  • Business insurance (or willing to obtain)
  • Reliable transportation within our service area
  • Confidence cooking independently in someone else's kitchen
  • Strong people skills and emotional intelligence (this matters as much as knife skills)

Bonus and pay

  • We pay above market
  • Bonus on your hourly rate if you bring your own client and onboard them through Maison Prep
  • Flexible schedules (weekday daytime and some evenings depending on client demand)

  • Experience with dietary restrictions (gluten free, allergies, high protein, etc.)
  • Meal planning skills and comfort scaling recipes
  • First Aid certification
