Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Line Cook to join our culinary team in Westboro. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen by preparing high-quality meals and assisting in various food service tasks. This position requires a strong understanding of food safety standards, excellent food handling skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Duties

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
  • Assist with meal preparation, including chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Help in the setup and breakdown of kitchen stations before and after service.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
  • Monitor food inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
  • Follow proper food handling procedures to maintain quality and safety standards.

Experience

  • Previous experience in food preparation or cooking within a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
  • Familiarity with kitchen equipment and cooking techniques is essential.
  • Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is a must.
  • Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong teamwork skills and a willingness to help others in the kitchen are highly valued.
