We're currently hiring dependable and motivated Line Cooks and Prep Cooks to help us deliver top-quality meals and excellent service.

Job Overview

As a Line Cook or Prep Cook at The Basilico, you'll be responsible for preparing ingredients, cooking menu items to standard, and working closely with the kitchen team to maintain a smooth, efficient operation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook dishes from both Italian and South Asian menus
  • Follow standardized recipes and presentation guidelines
  • Set up and maintain clean, stocked stations
  • Assist in daily prep tasks: slicing, marinating, portioning, etc.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment
  • Communicate clearly with team members and management
  • Follow opening/closing procedures as scheduled

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience as a line cook or prep cook preferred
  • Familiarity with Italian or South Asian cuisine is a plus
  • Ability to follow recipes and kitchen protocols
  • Strong communication and time-management skills
  • Reliable, punctual, and a team player
  • Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Weekend and evening availability required
