Position Overview

The Catalyst Capital Group Inc. is seeking an outstanding individual to join our dynamic and growing Finance organization as a
Senior Financial Analyst (Funds)
. This role plays a pivotal part in supporting fund operations and financial reporting, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across a diverse portfolio of entities and funds.

The successful candidate will report into the Director of Finance (Funds) and contribute to the continued growth of our platform and help deliver exceptional investor and management services across our global ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure accuracy of quarterly financial statements, net asset value (NAV) reporting, and investor reporting for multiple entities and funds.
  • Manage capital activity processes, including capital calls, distributions, rebalancing, carried interest, and management fees.
  • Collaborate with fund administrators and investor relations teams on financial reporting, client communications, and marketing materials under IFRS.
  • Oversee fund accounting activities, including journal entries, valuations, reconciliations, and maintenance of books of record for parallel vehicles, SPVs, and managed accounts.
  • Support investment closings by coordinating funding and ensuring compliance with KYC requirements.
  • Coordinate annual audits and prepare audited financial statements.
  • Work closely with tax consultants to ensure timely compliance with regulatory filings (FATCA/CRS, HST/GST, and U.S./Canadian tax).
  • Support internal control assessments, investment classifications, valuations, and overall compliance processes.
  • Provide leadership in system automation, process improvement, and scaling of fund accounting and control platforms.
  • Represent the Finance department in cross-functional discussions and respond to ad-hoc data requests as required.
  • Perform other tasks and special projects as assigned by management.

What You Bring to the Role

  • 3+ years of relevant fund accounting or financial analysis experience
    , preferably within private funds or similar environments.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Experience dealing with asset management firms
    , with exposure to audit, tax accounting, FATCA/CRS reporting and Level 3 investment valuations considered a plus.
  • Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey financial insights clearly and concisely.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and accountable, with a strong sense of ownership and execution focus.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with financial reporting systems.
