GeoVerra is seeking a Quality Specialist with strong technical aptitude to assist in managing and improving our Quality Management System. This role combines coordination of workflows with advisory responsibilities and technical tasks such as maintaining QMS documentation, supporting audits, and monitoring compliance. You will play a key role in helping drive operational excellence by ensuring processes are accurate, efficient, and aligned with ISO standards.

What you will do:
Process Support, Coordination & Administration
  • Present quality-related content during new hire onboarding sessions, ensuring employees understand standards and best practices.
  • Coordinate and support operational workflows by handling insurance claims and compiling reports on client satisfaction and digital tool usage.
  • Supporting execution of GeoVerra's annual strategic plans
  • Track and report quality metrics (e.g., internal quality check results, issue trends, and improvement actions).
  • Prepare Quality content for proposals and pre-qualifications
  • Prepare project quality plans, when required
  • Support projects when requested by the PM and/or client (e.g., representing Quality on progress meetings, tracking & reporting Quality statistics, acting as client liaison for project quality issues)
Quality Systems & Compliance
  • Perform tasks related to maintaining and improving GeoVerra's Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and client expectations.
    • Administer the QMS framework, provide and maintain all quality-related documentation in a structured, standardized, and in a format optimized for AI integration and automation.
    • Stay up to date with changes in regulations, guidelines, and industry standards affecting the business.
    • Improve the QMS by developing fit-for-purpose documentation and tools and driving process improvements to ensure all functions in the QMS scope are effectively planned, executed, and controlled
    • Establish Quality objectives in coordination with the GeoVerra Executive Team
  • Develop & oversee a program of Checks/Accountability
    • Act as lead for quality oversight across internal project, process, program, and system Quality standards.
    • Manage the QMS monitoring program (e.g., project quality check-ins, conformance checks, etc.)
    • Manage Quality issues investigation, tracking and reporting
    • Escalate high-risk Quality issues to the COO and the SSQ Director
    • Host Management Review Meetings
Guidance & Continuous Improvement
  • Support quality management initiatives, such as full review of RFPs, contracts, and performing other tasks such as monthly QI reporting, quarterly proposal debriefs, and quarterly subcontractor re-evaluation reminders.
  • Act as champion of the QMS, educating and supporting GeoVerra employees in understanding & adoption of the QMS
What you will do:
  • 3-5 years of experience managing a complex Quality Management System
  • Hands on execution, audits and documentation experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Commerce, or a related discipline
  • Understanding of ISO 9001 standard
  • Tech-savvy and innovative; able to leverage digital tools, automation, and emerging technologies (including AI) to enhance quality processes and workflow efficiencies
  • Ability to identify and mitigate operational risks related to quality and compliance.
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Geomatics knowledge is an asset
  • Quality certification is an asset
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Self-starter; Able to work independently without close supervision
  • Excellent communicator (verbal and written); Ability to communicate complex Quality concepts clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Approachable and collaborative team player, able to interact with all levels of our business and external clients
  • Improvement focused & solution driven; Able to impact and influence stakeholders to affect positive change
