Drivers - Class 3 with Air

Springhill Lumber Wholesale Ltd. is looking for full-time Class 3 with Air Drivers. These positions are from Monday to Friday with some overtime as required.

The successful candidates will receive full company paid benefits after 90-days.

Rate of Pay: Depending on Experience

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Deliver building materials to customers' job sites and pick up from vendors as instructed by the shipping department;
  • Pick up any excess building materials from job sites as instructed, and complete the proper paperwork;
  • Ensure orders are loaded, unloaded and accurately filled, counted and secured following all safe work requirements;
  • Receive and relay information to the shipping department in a timely manner;
  • Be professional, courteous, and punctual with a focus on customer service;
  • Other duties as required.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Hold a valid Class 3 with Air driver's licence;
  • Able to operate a manual/standard transmission;
  • Obtain and hold a Driver's Abstract (must be current within 3 months);
  • Ability to do physical labour including lifting, carrying (over 50 Lbs.), bending repeatedly on a daily basis;
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written) with excellent listening, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Forklift Licence desired (but not required);
  • Ability to perform at a high level in a fast paced, demanding working environment; and
  • Reliable vehicle is required, as this is a non-bus route.

Working Conditions:

  • Exposure to dust and extreme changes in temperature and weather when working outside year around.
  • Safety boots and safety equipment are required;
  • Busy, high-volume environment.
