The Driver - Class 1, with air brake endorsement, is directly responsible for the pickup and delivery of loads by operating two (2) sets of trucks: semi and tandem. Delivery locations may be within the City limits but also to Northern Communities in Manitoba and Ontario.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Performing a daily pre-trip truck and equipment inspection, including an electronic pre-trip inspection
- Following written and verbal instructions from the Shipping Supervisor for deliveries and pickups
- Delivering of building materials to job sites and/or customers in a timely manner
- Ensuring that every load is secured appropriately, according to safety and legal requirements
- Counting items on every load to ensure the counts match the attached paperwork
- Keeping accurate and legible time logs, when necessary, and adhering to driving legislation requirements
- Tagging products with relevant information (e.g., Sales Order #, PO #, Customer Reference, etc.)
- Completing all required paperwork and returning the paperwork to the Shipping Supervisor after each run
- On occasion, you will be required to overnight as part of the delivery schedule
- Other duties as assigned

**Skills and Abilities**:

- Valid Class 1 Manitoba Driver’s License with Air Brake Endorsement
- Must have a clean driver’s abstract
- 1-3 years of Flat Deck P&D driving experience
- Forklift licensed or experience to operate a truck-mounted forklift
- Must have basic knowledge of routine maintenance - checking oil, gauges, fluid levels & tire pressure, etc.
- Must have the ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs for an extended period of time
- Must have a strong work ethic and have the ability to work independently as well as within a team environment
- Must have 1-2 years of driving experience

- 10 hour shift
- 12 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime
- Weekends as needed
