Inq is currently looking for a manager or senior manager to help grow our consultancy. The successful candidate will contribute to a diverse range of projects spanning service lines in Canada and internationally and support our purpose of building a better future through data. This position is ideal for an individual eager to leverage their current expertise while expanding and refining their consulting skills. As a member of Inq, you will have the opportunity to work with forward-thinking clients who share in our vision of a more connected word where data is used with care.

This position is located in Toronto and requires a minimum commitment of 3 days in office per week. The role offers flexibility while engaging in meaningful, high-impact work designed to shape the future of responsible data use.

Job Duties:

Your job responsibilities may include, among other things:

  • Develop project management tools and templates, including meeting agendas, meeting minutes, status reports and project/program budgets
  • Work with clients to ensure projects are delivered on time and meet Inq standards
  • Plan, manage, and execute small projects independently
  • Work as part of a team to deliver components of larger projects
  • Participate in and lead firm building activities and projects
  • Under supervision, draft client deliverables according to the scope of work
  • Support excellent client relationship management and service
  • Maintain deep knowledge of, and stay up to date on, privacy, AI, and other related legislation and regulations
  • Draft blogs, client bulletins, newsletters, and participate in other profile building activities
  • Contribute to thought leadership by identifying emerging data trends and sharing insights with the team
  • Assist in developing innovative approaches to responsible data use that align with our vision of a better future

You will demonstrate the following skills

  • Ability to take initiative and work proactively in a dynamic environment
  • Strong time management skills; ability to anticipate requirements, follow through and produce quality work to meet deadlines
  • Inquisitiveness, as well as a willingness and ability to learn
  • Professionalism in communications
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to succinctly summarize complex issues into easy-to-understand language
  • Proven ability to collaborate in a team environment and build strong relationships with direct reports as we grow
  • Ability to translate legislative requirements, best practices, and established frameworks into practical operational application
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to identify risks, gaps and opportunities for improvement
  • Comfort with remote collaboration tools and digital project management platforms

You have the following experience

  • Previous experience in privacy, AI, informatics, or related field, as typically acquired during 3-5 years in a similar position
  • Experience managing projects; experience analyzing and operationalizing privacy programs and analyzing privacy issues
  • Proven experience facilitating cross-functional teams to achieve goals and meet timelines

Qualifications for a Senior Manager/Manager

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Management Information Systems, J.D., or related discipline degree from an accredited university or equivalent experience
  • French language proficiency is an asset but not required
