About Us:

We're a busy family of seven looking for someone dependable and skilled to help streamline our meal planning, grocery management, and food prep so we can save money, eat healthier, and get organized.

Role Summary:

You'll be our Meal Prep & Household Assistant, spending approximately 75% of your time on meal strategy, grocery ordering, cooking, and food prep, and the remaining time helping with light household management tasks related to kitchen and home organization. This is an in-home role where you will be cooking and prepping meals for our family.

Key Responsibilities:

Meal & Food Management (Primary ~75%):

  • Plan weekly meals that fit our family schedule, tastes, and budget (breakfasts, lunches, dinners, snacks).
  • Order groceries online or shop locally and manage the grocery budget.
  • Prepare, cook, portion, and label meals ahead of time so the family can easily grab them throughout the week.
  • Maintain an organized fridge, freezer, and pantry.
  • Help reduce eating out by keeping ready-to-heat meals available.

Household Support (Secondary ~25%):

  • Track and submit receipts and help organize grocery spending.
  • Assist with kitchen-related administrative tasks.
  • Occasionally help with laundry (e.g., folding) or putting away clothes if needed.
  • Keep kitchen and food prep areas clean and tidy.

Who You Are:

Comfortable working independently in a busy family home

Experienced in meal planning, cooking, and food prep for families

Organized, proactive, and able to manage a budget

Excellent communicator and trustworthy

Ideally located on the North Shore / West Vancouver, or able to commute easily

Nice-to-Have (but not required):

  • Food safety or Food Handler certification
  • Previous personal chef, private cook, or household manager experience
