Part-Time Wine Merchant – Key Holder

Location: 4701 Ontario Street, Beamsville, Ontario

Magnotta Winery is seeking a passionate, customer-focused Part-Time Wine Merchant – Key Holder to join our team in Beamsville. In this role, you will play a key part in delivering an exceptional customer experience - from first interaction to a memorable lasting impression.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional service and assist customers with product selection
  • Offer knowledgeable wine and food pairing recommendations
  • Handle Point of Sale (POS) transactions, including end-of-day sales reconciliation
  • Open and close the store following company procedures
  • Support merchandising, stock management, and inventory upkeep
  • Execute marketing , promotional, and operational initiatives as directed
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming store environment
  • Safely lift and move product (up to 25 kg as required)

Availability Requirements:

  • Must be available for afternoons, evenings, and alternate weekends
  • Steel-toe footwear is required for safety reasons

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of retail key holder experience
  • Previous knowledge of wine, beer, and spirits is an asset
  • Smart Serve Certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Positive, outgoing attitude and a passion for customer service
  • Ability to upsell and cross-sell products
  • Eagerness to learn and contribute in a collaborative team environment
