The Purchasing Agent is responsible for performing numerous duties to help facilitate the purchasing of materials and services for a large real estate company operating in the US and Canada.

The Purchasing Agent will report directly to the Purchasing and Payables Manager. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

· Gathering purchasing information from road and office employees by way of telephone, email and in person communication

· Verifying accuracy of obtained information

· Inputting data in accounting system

· Finalizing purchase orders

· Performing administrative tasks as required

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
:

The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

· Issue purchase orders for both the US and Canadian operations

· Enter related information into the system such as quotations, price lists, change orders and any other pertinent email communications

· Communicate with departments within the company as well as vendors

· Matching and reviewing received invoices with previously supplied purchase orders

· Working with the payables team to ensure timely vendor payments

REQUIREMENTS
:

· Fluently Bilingual in both French and English, written and spoken

  • Advanced level, oral and written (French and English).
    The employee in this position will interact more than 50% of the time with international customers, suppliers and colleagues (USA) who understand and communicate only in English.

· Knowledge in Microsoft Office; Outlook, Excel, Word

· Good typing skills

· Positive attitude with good communication skills

· Accurate and detail orientated

· Punctual and reliable

· Organized

· Able to work in a fast-paced environment

· Customer service and construction experience (asset)

· Quick learner 

· Ability to work in a team environment
