Job Overview

We are seeking a friendly and professional Host/Host to create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. The ideal candidate will excel in guest services, have excellent communication skills, and possess a strong understanding of hospitality and food service operations. This role is vital in ensuring guests have a positive first impression and enjoy a seamless dining experience. Prior restaurant or hotel experience is preferred, along with familiarity with POS systems such as Micros. The Host/Host will be responsible for managing reservations, greeting guests, and coordinating seating arrangements to optimize the flow of the restaurant or venue.

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements
  • Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently using POS systems like Micros
  • Provide exceptional guest services by addressing inquiries and ensuring guest satisfaction
  • Maintain a clean and organized host stand area
  • Communicate effectively with servers, kitchen staff, and management to coordinate seating and service flow
  • Handle phone inquiries professionally, providing information about the establishment and reservations
  • Assist with maintaining cleanliness standards in the front-of-house area
  • Support team members to ensure smooth restaurant operations during service hours

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in hospitality, food service, or restaurant environments is preferred
  • Strong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor
  • Excellent communication skills and phone etiquette
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros is a plus
  • Knowledge of restaurant operations and hospitality industry standards is desirable
  • Professional appearance and positive attitude are essential for representing the establishment effectively

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.20-$56.40 per hour
