What would my role be?
Pharmacy technicians are responsible for the technical components of drug distribution activities for inpatient programs at our Centertown and Market Site campuses. Reporting to the Director, Pharmacy, you will perform all aspects of inpatient drug distribution at Bruyère. Your duties will include order processing, drug dispensing, prepackaging, narcotic/ward stock management, sterile drug preparation, inventory control, medication reconciliation and other related tasks in the pharmacy and on the patient care units.
You will also collaborate with members of the interprofessional team to improve medication management throughout the organization.
How do I qualify?
Required:
- One (1) year Community College Pharmacy Technician Diploma
- Minimum of six (6) months of experience as a Pharmacy Technician in a hospital setting or similar environment
- Registered in good standing as a Pharmacy Technician with the Ontario College of Pharmacists
Preferred:
- Fluent in French and English
