looking for hard working, reliable and motivated individuals to join our Winter and

Summer Maintenance Operations Team for Guelph and Kitchener/Waterloo.

MowGO SnowGO is currently seeking motivated individuals looking to join our

growing maintenance team as a WINTER OPERATOR Suitable team members are

motivated individuals that enjoy working outdoors on a daily basis and are

comfortable in the operation of various landscape and snow plowing maintenance

equipment.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Overnight Truck and Plow Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating snow plows and trucks during overnight shifts to ensure clear and safe roadways, parking lots, and other designated areas during winter months. This position requires a strong understanding of vehicle operation, snow removal techniques, and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate snow plows, dump trucks, and other heavy vehicles to remove snow and ice from roads, parking lots, and private properties.
  • Spread salt, sand, or other de-icing materials as needed.
  • Inspect and maintain equipment before and after shifts, reporting any issues promptly.
  • Monitor weather conditions and adjust routes or procedures as necessary to maintain safety and efficiency.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and traffic regulations while operating vehicles.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding work progress and any operational issues.
  • Keep accurate records of hours worked, materials used, and completed routes.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience operating snow plows and heavy trucks in winter conditions.
  • Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of winter road maintenance and snow removal techniques.
  • Ability to work overnight shifts and in challenging weather conditions.
  • Mechanical aptitude for basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety.

Work Environment:

  • Overnight shifts, primarily during winter months.
  • Exposure to cold, snow, and other challenging weather conditions.
  • Hands-on operation of heavy vehicles and equipment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with route planning and efficient snow clearing techniques.
  • Knowledge of salt/sand application rates and environmental considerations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.

This position is seasonal with the potential of year-round employment.
