Job Summary

We are seeking a professional and dependable Truck Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating various types of trucks to deliver freight efficiently across designated routes. This role requires a strong focus on safety, adherence to traffic laws, and excellent driving skills. The Truck Driver will play a vital role in ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining excellent customer service standards.

Duties

  • Operate trucks with automatic transmission
  • Safely transport freight across assigned routes while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
  • Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate effectively with dispatch regarding delivery schedules and issues.
  • Assist with route planning to optimize efficiency and fuel consumption.
  • Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues promptly.
  • Ensure cargo is secured properly during transit to prevent damage or accidents.

Qualifications

  • Valid AZ-class commercial driver's license (CDL)
  • Minimum 3 years of experience driving tractor-trailers, refrigerated trailers, tanker trucks, dump trucks, roll-off trucks or flatbed is preferred.
  • Proven experience in freight delivery, route driving, or as a delivery driver.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures related to truck driving and freight handling.
  • Ability to load & unload freight efficiently and safely using forklifts or other equipment when necessary.
  • Strong understanding of traffic laws and regulations governing commercial vehicle operation.
  • Excellent navigation skills with the ability to follow designated routes accurately.
  • Physical ability to load/unload freight and perform routine vehicle inspections; may involve lifting heavy items. This position offers an opportunity for professional growth within a reputable transportation company committed to safety and excellence in service delivery.

Pay: $25.00-$28.00 per hour
