Background Information

• We are seeking a Senior System Analyst who will act as a Senior Technical Analyst to play a key role in the design, documentation, and implementation of technical solutions integrating BMC Helix Remedy with customer-facing digital applications.
• This role is central to a strategic initiative focused on improving customer data management, digitizing agreements, and enabling intelligent product recommendations through the use of AI/ML capabilities.
• The successful candidate will bridge business and technical teams, ensuring that solution designs, API specifications, and system integrations are well-documented, efficient, and aligned with enterprise architecture standards.

Must haves:

• Proven experience as a Technical Analyst, Systems Analyst, or Solution Designer in complex enterprise environments.
• Strong understanding of system integration patterns, REST APIs, and middleware.
• Ability to produce high-quality technical documentation, including interface specifications, sequence diagrams, and solution blueprints.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities:

• Technical Solution Design & Documentation

• Lead and document the design of integration solutions between customer-facing web applications and backend systems (including Helix Remedy and related platforms).

• Create and maintain API specifications, data flow diagrams, integration mappings, and detailed solution design documents.
• Ensure solution designs adhere to security, scalability, and performance best practices.

• Requirements Analysis & Translation

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand functional requirements and translate them into detailed technical requirements.

• Work closely with development teams to validate feasibility and ensure alignment between business needs and system capabilities.

• Integration & API Management

• Define, document, and manage RESTful API specifications for data exchange and system integration.

• Partner with backend teams to ensure consistent API governance, version control, and documentation standards.

• Data & Process Optimization

• Contribute to data architecture discussions related to customer data management and process digitization.

• Identify opportunities for intelligent automation and recommendation systems.

Desired Skills:

• Experience in projects involving customer data management, digital agreement workflows, or customer experience platforms (CRM, CMS, etc.).
• Familiarity with AI/ML-based recommendation systems or data enrichment processes.
• Understanding of DevOps practices, API testing tools (e.g., Postman, Swagger), and version control (Git).
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS) and microservices architectures.

Required Skills:

• System Integration Expertise: Strong understanding of integration patterns (REST, event-driven, middleware).
• Requirements Analysis: Strong ability to interpret business requirements and convert them into technical specifications.
• Solution Documentation: Skilled at producing system architecture diagrams, sequence diagrams, and interface control documents.
• API Design & Documentation: Skilled in defining RESTful APIs, creating OpenAPI/Swagger specifications, versioning, and governance.
• BMC Helix Remedy / ITSM Platforms: Hands-on experience integrating or extending Remedy systems (BMC Helix or similar ITSM solutions).
• Data Modeling & Mapping: Ability to design data flows, define mappings between systems, and ensure data consistency and quality.
• Web Application Integration: Understanding how front-end (web or mobile) applications consume backend APIs and data services.
• Security & Compliance: Knowledge of API authentication, authorization (OAuth2, JWT), data protection, and privacy compliance.
• Ability to produce clear, concise, and version-controlled documentation accessible to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to liaise effectively between business analysts, developers, architects, and vendors.

• 7+ years in technical/business systems analysis, with at least 3 years in integration-focused projects. 20 Points

Deliverables

Deliverables Include but not limited to:

• Comprehensive Technical Solution & API Documentation for 3 or more integration features between front end applications and backend systems
• Technical Knowledge Transfer and Handover to OH staff members and including documentation in reference documentation of completed work.

Knowledge Transfer Details:

• The resource will ensure full knowledge transfer is provided to the Ontario Health team before end of engagement. Some of this might occur at the end of the engagement but will also be shared as information is obtained/consolidated. Key deliverables will be shared with team.
• The resource must provide all related documentation as part of knowledge transfer protocol. Documents will be reviewed by the appropriate leads and signed off by manager/director.
• The resource will work collaboratively with the Ontario Health team throughout the assignment and ensure key deliverables, milestones, and documentation are shared.
• A walkthrough of any demos, development, etc. will be required before the end of the engagement.
