Position Summary:
Reporting to the program manager and working under the clinical direction and in collaboration with the Public Health Nurse, the Family Home Visitor (FHV) provides education and support to families participating in the Healthy Babies Healthy Children program in accordance with the current Healthy Babies Healthy Children Protocols and Guidance Documents as well as families participating in other programs within Healthy Families. The FHV also provides assistance with the delivery of other programs within Health Families as needed and when appropriate. Qualifications:
· College diploma or certificate in child development or early child education program or related field;
· Previous work experience with home visiting programs or early child development services is considered an asset;
· Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing;
· Fluency in both official languages is an asset;
· Ability to meet the physical and mental demands of the position;
· Ability to work flexible hours and travel within and outside the health unit catchment area as required;
· Must have access to a vehicle and a valid Ontario Driver's license;
· Satisfactory criminal reference and vulnerable sector check;
· Required to comply with Immunization policies including COVID-19 vaccination unless valid medical exemption is provided.

Relevant du gestionnaire de programme et travaillant sous la direction clinique d'une infirmière ou d'un infirmier de la santé publique et en collaboration avec cette personne, le visiteur ou la visiteuse à domicile fournit une éducation et un soutien aux familles qui participent au programme Bébés en santé, enfants en santé (BSES) conformément aux protocoles et aux documents d'orientation de BSES actuellement en vigueur, ainsi qu'aux familles qui participent à d'autres programmes de familles en santé. Titres et qualités :
· Détenir un diplôme ou un certificat collégial en développement de l'enfance ou en éducation en services à l'enfance, ou dans un domaine connexe.
· Avoir de l'expérience de travail au sein de programmes de visites à domicile ou de services de développement de la petite enfance (atout).
· Pouvoir communiquer clairement et efficacement, à l'oral et à l'écrit.
· Parler couramment les deux langues officielles sera considéré un atout.
· Pouvoir répondre aux exigences physiques et mentales du poste.
· Pouvoir travailler des heures variables et se déplacer à l'intérieur et à l'extérieur de la région du SPNE.
· Détenir un permis de conduire valide de l'Ontario et avoir accès à un véhicule.
· Fournir un rapport de vérification du casier judiciaire et des antécédents en vue d'un travail auprès de personnes vulnérables.
· Se conformer aux politiques sur la vaccination, y compris la vaccination contre la COVID‑19, à moins de fournir une preuve d'exemption médicale valide.
