Our System Support team keeps Innovation running smoothly by ensuring staff have the technology, tools, and support they need to serve our members. What You'll Do

  • Troubleshoot and escalate IT service requests through our ticketing system, ensuring timely follow‑up and excellent internal customer service.
  • Assist with device setup, configuration, deployment, and maintenance—including laptops, monitors, mobile devices, and peripherals.
  • Support onboarding activities for new employees by preparing equipment and ensuring system access is configured correctly.
  • Help maintain asset and inventory records for IT equipment and accessories.
  • Contribute to documentation updates, knowledge‑base content, and process improvements.
  • Participate in system testing, quality checks, and technology rollouts to support organizational initiatives.
  • Assist with routine monitoring of system performance, reporting concerns to the System Support team.

Perks of Being a Summer Student at Innovation

As part of our well‑established student program, you'll enjoy:

  • Competitive summer compensation designed specifically for student roles.
  • Paid training and onboarding to ensure you feel confident and supported from day one.
  • Flexible scheduling, aligned with branch needs and student availability.
  • Professional development opportunities, including exposure to the financial industry, member‑focused service skills, creating new ideas and automations, and networking across our credit union.
  • Experience that counts—many students return for multiple summers, and several have grown into permanent roles within Innovation.
  • A fun, welcoming culture where your ideas are valued and you're encouraged to learn, grow, and contribute.
No Resume? No Problem

Instead of attaching a resume, we'd love to hear the following in your cover letter:

  • Why did you apply for our student opportunity?
  • What are you taking and actively participating in at school? (education, extra‑curriculars, community work, teams, groups, etc.)
  • What do you want to achieve while working during the summer?
  • What are some professional and personal goals or development areas you want to work toward?
  • If you were the CEO of Innovation Federal Credit Union for a day, what is something you would want to implement?
Qualifications
  • Minimum 1‑year full‑time attendance at a high school or post‑secondary institution and returning to an applicable education program on a full‑time basis for the Fall 2026 school term.
  • Working toward an education program applicable to our organization such as Commerce, Business, Agribusiness, Finance, IT, HR, Marketing, Engineering, etc.
  • A people‑person with excellent communication skills.
  • Someone who values Accountability, Integrity, and Respect.
  • Detail‑oriented and risk‑aware, contributing to the safeguarding of our company's assets and reputation.

About Us

Hi We're Innovation Federal Credit Union. Our purpose is to simplify banking for all Canadians. We like to keep it simple. We have three values – Accountability, Integrity, and Respect – and we are constantly striving to improve our organization to make it better for you (our member and prospective employee)

How are we different from other Credit Unions? We've put in the work to become a federal credit union – just one of three in Canada – to secure the future of our organization and continue to grow across Canada. We are proudly rooted in Saskatchewan, but our vision is national, or as we like to say, "Made in Sask, Built for Canada".

What sets us apart:
  • Commitment to Community: $1.1 million was given to local organizations last year who are making a difference
  • Strong focus on Diversity and Inclusion: Nearly 22% of InnovationNation proudly identifies as part of a designated group, reflecting our strong commitment to fostering a diverse workplace
  • Benefits that start when you do: Our full-time staff participate in a 7% employer-matched pension plan, extended health benefits, employee and family assistance program, and a staff loan rate. These benefits all start on Day 1 of employment, no waiting period

In the spirit of Truth and Reconciliation, we acknowledge that we are on the traditional territories of the many First Nations, Métis, and Inuit who have graced these lands for millennia.

We are privileged to live on, work on and enjoy the benefits of these lands, now known as Canada.
