We are a leading wine and spirits import agency in Ontario, dedicated to providing high-quality beverages from across the globe to our clients. Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Management:
- Ensure efficient inventory control across multiple locations.
- Maintain consistent stock levels with timely ordering, receiving, and storage of wine and spirits.
- Implement and maintain inventory tracking systems to monitor stock movements, minimize wastage, and avoid stockouts or overstock situations.
- Perform regular inventory audits and work closely with the warehouse team to ensure accurate stock counts.
- Analyze and report on inventory trends, product demand, and other key performance indicators (KPIs) to optimize the supply chain.
Order Management:
- Coordinate the order processing workflow from receipt of customer orders to delivery, ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, logistics partners, and clients to ensure smooth and efficient order fulfillment.
- Oversee the order management system (OMS) to ensure orders are processed correctly, invoiced accurately, and delivered on time.
- Address and resolve any issues related to order discrepancies, damaged goods, or shipping delays, ensuring minimal disruption to customer service.
- Monitor and optimize order lead times and customer satisfaction levels.
Information Systems Management:
- Maintain and improve the company's information systems, including inventory, order management, and customer relationship management (CRM) systems.
- Work with the IT team to ensure that systems are integrated, efficient, and user-friendly, and provide troubleshooting support as needed.
- Train staff on proper use of internal systems, ensuring data integrity and system updates are maintained.
- Collaborate with other departments (sales, logistics, finance) to ensure seamless information flow between systems.
- Analyze operational data and generate reports to provide insights into process improvements, cost savings, and business growth.
Qualifications:
Experience: Experience in operations or supply chain management is an asset. Experience in the wine and spirits industry is an asset.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of inventory management practices and order fulfillment processes.
- Proficiency in managing information systems and working with ERP or OMS software (knowledge of systems like ChannelSnap, Streak, or similar is preferred).
- Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to generate reports and use data to improve operational efficiency.
- Strong communication skills to liaise with internal teams, suppliers, and customers.
- Ability to dive deep into operational processes and systems to drive efficiency.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field is preferred.
Location: Must be based in or willing to relocate to Ontario, Canada.
