Operations Specialist

We are looking for an entrepreneurial and solutions-driven Operations Specialist with excellent analytical and interpersonal skills to take ownership of our local ride-hailing operations.

About the role

As an Operations Specialist, you will play a key role in improving the overall health of our marketplace. This involves analyzing complex quantitative and qualitative data to inform strategic decisions, and working closely with cross-functional stakeholders to drive effective implementation. Main tasks and responsibilities:

• Monitor and analyze key marketplace health metrics to guide data-driven decisions related to both driver and rider acquisition, engagement, and retention.
• Design pricing and incentive strategies aimed at driving business growth, enhancing user experience, and improving overall marketplace balance and performance.
• Create, optimise or even remove processes – efficiency is our priority; you will help us find the smoothest way to run operations, solve challenges where others turn away, and influence the way Hopp is going in the future.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, including teams from Growth, Product, Supply, and Legal, to ensure smooth execution of high-impact projects that support our broader market objectives.
• Identify and act on opportunities to improve operational efficiency, optimizing processes to deliver better outcomes at scale.

About you:

• You have 2+ years of experience in operations management, pricing, revenue management, or category management - ideally within fast-paced consumer internet companies.
• You are a strong collaborator with excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) in English.
• You bring a highly analytical, data-driven mindset, with strong proficiency in Excel, SQL, Google Sheets, and basic Python. At the same time, you're not afraid to roll up your sleeves and dive into execution when needed.
• You thrive on ownership and are confident in managing high-impact operations, including a multi-million-dollar city portfolio.
• You are passionate about new technologies and ride-hailing.

• You're a creative problem-solver, driven to find efficient, scalable solutions in dynamic environments.
