Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of heavy machinery and industrial equipment. This role requires strong mechanical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Experience with dealership service, excavators, cranes, Caterpillar equipment, forklifts, farm machinery, HVAC systems, and automotive repair is highly valued. The Heavy Equipment Mechanic will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and operational efficiency of our fleet and machinery.

Duties

  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on heavy equipment including excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm machinery
  • Diagnose mechanical issues using schematics and diagnostic tools
  • Repair or replace faulty components using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques
  • Conduct electrical troubleshooting and repairs on industrial equipment
  • Maintain detailed service records and documentation of repairs performed
  • Assist with the installation and assembly of new machinery or equipment
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards during all maintenance activities
  • Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot complex mechanical or electrical problems
  • Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding repairs and maintenance needs

Experience

  • Proven mechanic experience with heavy equipment or industrial machinery
  • Dealership experience is preferred but not required
  • Hands-on experience working with excavators, cranes, Caterpillar equipment, forklifts, farm machinery, HVAC systems, and automotive repairs
  • Proficiency in reading schematics and technical manuals for diagnostics and repairs
  • Skilled in welding, electrical systems troubleshooting, and mechanical assembly
  • Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and perform heavy lifting as needed
  • Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and maintenance procedures for industrial equipment
  • Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent problem-solving skills
  • Prior experience working in a fast-paced environment with a focus on safety standards is highly desirable

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $38.00-$55.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Work Location: In person
