Junior Technician – Calibration and Repair

Patlon Aircraft & Industries Ltd. is seeking an up-and-coming Junior Technician to support, learn and apply your skill set within our Calibration and Repair section of our Repair and Overhaul division. This is a key role that ensures a consistent turn-around for our customers and to cement a strong foothold for future growth of our in-house calibration and repair capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect equipment to determine the requirements for calibration and repair (time and materials)
- Disassembly and re-assembly of tooling and various equipment
- Repair or replace defective or worn components
- Verify tolerances and adjust tooling for proper function and tolerances
- Verify and adjust pressure gauge's proper function and tolerances
- Maintain a clean work area and adhere to Patlon's high standard of quality
- Load test and adjust equipment for proper function and tolerances
- Reports to Director of Repair Services and Inventory Management and will work with other team members as directed
Required Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma, completion of an applicable trade school, or equivalent related experiences
- Minimum of 1-2 years of industry experience
- Ability to troubleshoot, disassembly and repair mechanical crimp tooling
- Ability to use precision tools, i.e., verniers, micrometers, pin gauging, etc.
- Ability in reading and interpreting manuals, drawings and bill of materials
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude are required
- Strong attention to detail and work ethic
- Must be able to work in a team environment and as an individual
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal in English
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with ERP systems is a plus, but not a requirement
- Successful Candidate must have or be eligible to apply for Controlled Goods certification
