Calgary, Alberta, Canada Blurb Full time

At Blurb, were building revenue-generating content products for the most influential media companies in the world. We scale content from what already exist - turning catalogs and brand assets into high-performing formats for every major platform.

Our mission is simple: help media companies unlock growth through high-volume, high-impact content.

We're looking for a Senior Full Stack Developer to join our team. This is a hands-on role where you'll have real ownership and the opportunity to shape both the product and our technical direction.

What you'll do

As part of a lean team of senior developers, you'll collaboratively:

  • Architect and build new web-based and content-driven products
  • Develop server-side code and APIs, and integrate with third-party APIs
  • Create data schemas and manage databases
  • Operate and configure Backend-as-a-Service environments
  • Establish and execute testing, QA, and release practices
  • Maintain and improve developer workflows, automation, and best practices
  • Partner with product and design to turn ideas into user-facing features
  • Manage the delivery of features you own end-to-end
  • Provide technical support and contribute to scaling customer success

What you bring

You are an experienced software developer (8+ years) with a track record of building web-based applications and the technical battle scars to prove it. More importantly, you're a builder at heart - you thrive in fast-moving environments, and you see opportunity in ambiguity.

We look for:

  • Experience leading or owning features through multiple product cycles
  • Comfort wearing multiple hats - coding, architecture, product thinking
  • Strong engineering practices: clean, testable, maintainable code
  • Proficiency with TDD, CI/CD, and a commitment to code quality
  • An ability to balance moving fast with managing technical debt
  • Excitement to collaborate closely with product, design and growth teams.

Above all, you enjoy coding, problem-solving and building products people use. You want to help shape the future of Blurb, not just write code for it.

Why join us?

  • Be part of a mission-driven company at the intersection of media and
  • technology.
  • Work in a small, senior team where your voice and contributions carry
  • weight.
  • Competitive salary, meaningful equity, and a flexible, remote-friendly culture.
