About The RoleWe are looking for an experienced Senior Full Stack Software Developer with a strong interest in product delivery and support to join our engineering team and collaborate on challenges at a fast-paced startup. Customer success hinges on high-quality application development and support. Your solid and dependable developments and improvements on our software products will have a meaningful impact on helping companies achieve fairness in the workplace.
Why This Job Is Exciting:- Own the full stack. Design, develop and deploy impactful features across our platform, from front-end user interfaces to back end systems.
- Collaborate with software developers, product managers, and designers to support and maintain mid to large features and services to deliver exceptional user experiences- both internally and externally.
- Mentor junior team members, share your expertise, and advocate and lead technical initiatives that drive our strategic goals.
- Build and improve software that directly helps organizations achieve workplace equity
- Software Development Experience: Extensive experience in supporting, maintaining, and improving existing web applications and features.
- Programming Proficiency: Strong skills in full-stack development with proficiency in Go or Python, Django, React, and Typescript.
- Cloud Architecture: Experience in architecting applications on cloud platforms, such as GCP, AWS, or Azure (we use GCP)
- Data Management: Experience with data model and schema design, and technologies such as PostgreSQL, Redis, and Cloud PubSub.
- API Development: Thorough knowledge of API architecture and development.
- Testing Methodologies: Familiarity with current testing methodologies, such as unit, integration, end to end, and service tests.
- Communication Skills: Effective communication capabilities for interacting with both technical and non-technical teams.
- Team Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams in a collaborative environment.

- You value a remote work environment and know that it requires greater intentionality on your part to build and maintain strong working relationships
- You currently reside within commuting distance of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Relocation is not currently offered.

- Competitive Compensation. For this role our base salary is targeted at $140-160k CAD. Final offer amounts are determined by factors such as experience and expertise.

- Remote-First with local meet-ups in Calgary #LI-Remote
- First month: We'll get to know each other You'll understand the user problems and priorities and see how our platform can support them. You'll set up and service your development environment and be able to run the entire app and critical workflows locally. Not only that, but you'll also start handling tickets and small requests.
- Second month: You'll deepen your understanding of user pain points and start to form an opinion on necessary improvements in the codebase. Share these insights with the Software Development Manager. Expect an increasing workload, and start providing more input on building complex functionality.
- Third month: You'll be fully ramped up and working at full capacity You'll share your opinions, mentor junior team members, and independently execute and break down tasks for yourself. Now's the time to start proposing technical investments and improvements. Time to innovate
