Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Construction Estimator specialist in aluminum/stainless to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately estimating project costs, preparing bid proposals, and ensuring that projects are completed within budget. This role requires a strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and pricing strategies. The Construction Estimator will collaborate closely with project managers, contractors, and clients to deliver precise estimates that align with project goals.

Duties

  • Analyze blueprints and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
  • Utilize software tools such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid for efficient estimating processes.
  • Conduct thorough market research to determine pricing trends and material costs.
  • Collaborate with project managers to develop accurate budgets and timelines for construction projects.
  • Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers to secure the best pricing options.
  • Prepare detailed bid proposals that outline project scope, costs, and timelines.
  • Monitor project progress and adjust estimates as necessary based on changes in scope or unforeseen circumstances.
  • Maintain organized records of estimates, bids, and contracts for future reference.

Skills

  • Proficiency in construction estimating software including Bluebeam and HeavyBid.
  • Strong negotiation skills to effectively communicate with subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Excellent project management abilities to oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction processes, materials, and industry standards.
  • Ability to analyze complex data sets to derive accurate cost estimates.
  • Strong attention to detail with exceptional organizational skills.
