Position: Site Superintendent

Department: Capital Projects

Job Classification: Safety Sensitive- Administration

Reports to: Project Manager

The Superintendent is responsible for overseeing daily operations, managing teams, and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget, while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities:

· Managing all aspects of a project from initial planning to completion, ensuring that work is completed on schedule and within budget

· Lead and coordinate the work of subcontractors and construction teams, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and building codes

· Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and quality, addressing any issues or delays that arise during construction

· Serve as the main point of contact for on-site activities, effectively communicating with Project Managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders

· Ensure that all necessary materials, equipment, and personnel are available on-site, and manage inventory levels

· Maintain project records, including permits and legal documents, and ensure all necessary paperwork is processed and kept on file

Qualifications:

· A Diploma in Business, Management, Engineering, Trades or related field

· Several years of experience in construction, particularly in a supervisory or management role

· Project Management Professional (PMP), PRINCE2, or relevant certification is an asset

· Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills are essential, along with knowledge of construction software and safety protocols

· Knowledge of Onion Lake community and culture
