Site Superintendent

Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Site Superintendent to lead and oversee construction/renovation projects from inception to completion. This role is vital in ensuring that all aspects of the renovation site operate smoothly, safely, and efficiently. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Renovation management, excellent leadership skills, and a keen eye for quality control. As a Site Superintendent, you will coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, and clients to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of safety and craftsmanship. Your proactive management will drive project success and foster a collaborative work environment.

Duties

• Lead daily on-site operations, supervising renovation activities to ensure adherence to project plans, schedules, and safety protocols.
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or similar construction/renovation management software to track progress and identify potential delays.
• Oversee subcontractor performance, ensuring work quality aligns with blueprints, schematics, and contract specifications.
• Coordinate procurement of materials and equipment, utilizing tools such as HeavyBid for accurate estimating and budgeting.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor safety compliance in accordance with OSHA standards; implement corrective actions as needed.
• Manage project documentation including contracts, change orders, daily reports, incident reports, and inspection logs.
• Supervise quality control processes to ensure work meets project specifications; perform inspections using tools such as ohmmeters when necessary.
• Collaborate with project managers on budgeting efforts; assist in tracking costs against estimates to stay within financial targets.
• Oversee safety training sessions and enforce safety policies on-site; conduct toolbox talks regularly.
• Facilitate communication between clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to resolve issues promptly.
• Ensure all site activities comply with environmental regulations and company policies related to pipeline projects or other specialized infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in construction/renovation site management with a strong background in supervising diverse teams on heavy civil or commercial projects.
• Extensive knowledge of construction/renovation management practices including scheduling (Primavera P6), estimating (HeavyBid), blueprint reading, and contract administration.
• Hands-on experience with safety standards outlined by OSHA; ability to enforce safety protocols effectively.
• Strong understanding of project scheduling techniques; ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with supervising experience in fast-paced environments; capable of motivating teams toward common goals.
• Excellent communication skills for clear coordination among stakeholders at all levels of the project lifecycle.
• Technical proficiency in using tools like ohmmeters for electrical inspections or schematics analysis when required.
• Knowledge of renovation estimating processes including cost control measures; experience with budgeting is preferred.
• Ability to read technical drawings accurately; experience working on pipeline or infrastructure projects is a plus. Pay: $72,161.94-$155,258.87 per year
