Job Summary

We are seeking a knowledgeable and proactive IT Support Specialist to join our technology team. The IT Support Specialist will play a vital role in maintaining system reliability and assisting users with technical challenges across multiple platforms including Windows, macOS, and Linux.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for desktop and laptop computers, peripherals, and network devices.
  • Troubleshoot hardware issues related to computer hardware, operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux), and software applications.
  • Assist users with software troubleshooting, including Microsoft Office applications and other enterprise software.
  • Manage and resolve service requests using ServiceNow, Jira, BMC Remedy, or similar ticketing systems.
  • Configure and support VPN connections, firewalls, LANs, and other network components to ensure secure connectivity.
  • Support help desk operations by responding promptly to user inquiries via phone or email.
  • Maintain documentation of issues and resolutions to improve support processes.
  • Assist in the setup and deployment of new hardware and software updates.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to implement security measures such as firewall configurations and access controls.
  • Provide user training on operating systems, software applications, and security best practices.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in IT support or desktop support roles.
  • Strong knowledge of operating systems including Windows, macOS, and Linux.
  • Familiarity with computer networking concepts such as LANs, VPNs, firewalls, and LAN troubleshooting.
  • Experience using ticketing systems like ServiceNow, Jira, or BMC Remedy for issue tracking.
  • Ability to troubleshoot hardware components and perform software diagnostics effectively.
  • Knowledge of IT support tools including Microsoft Office suite and remote support applications.
  • Excellent communication skills with a customer service-oriented approach.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or relevant vendor certifications are a plus. This position offers an engaging environment where technical expertise is valued and professional growth is encouraged for those passionate about IT support services.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $55,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
