The Cashier is the first and last point of contact for members and customers and is responsible for providing friendly, efficient, and accurate service while supporting Wetaskiwin Co-op's commitment to community, cooperation, and exceptional customer experience.

What you'll do:

Reporting to the Assistant Hardware Manager, the Cashier is a self-motivated individual who has strong attention to detail. This is a full-time permanent position eligible for benefits. Duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Responsible to always provide an exceptional level of customer service.
  • Be professional, friendly, and courteous, contributing to a positive team environment.
  • Process transactions of cash, debit, credit card, charge accounts, gift cards and cheques through the point-of-sale terminal using the Mi9 system.
  • Respond to general customer and member inquiries and be familiar with in-store promotions, bulletins, updates, and products.
  • Ensure adherence to merchandising standards, marketing efforts, and housekeeping standards while maintaining a clean and organized work area.
  • Troubleshooting till and customer service issues.
  • Other duties as assigned.
